Comedian Mike Buzzelli + Player One improv
Mike Buzzelli is a standup comedian and published author. As a comedian, he has performed all around the country, most notably, the Ice House, the Comedy Store and the Improv in Los Angeles. He has performed as a stand up in Pittsburgh as well, most notably for several local charity events such as Cabaret for a Cause, The GLSEN Awards, and Brewing Up A Cure. As a writer, Mike has published in a variety of websites, magazines and newspapers. His book, Below Average Genius, a collection of humor pieces culled from his weekly humor column at the Observer-Reporter newspaper, is on sale now at Amazon.com.
Player One, Arcade Comedy Theater's own in-house improv troupe, presents an evening of hilarious and unpredictable theater improv. The team is coached by Jethro Nolen and comprised of experienced improvisers from both the Second City Touring Company and iO West, as well local veterans from various troupes and venues across Pittsburgh, including Friday Nite Improvs and The Pittsburgh Improv Jam.
Arcade Comedy Theater is downtown Pittsburgh's newest destination for all things comedy. The non-profit theater which opened in February of 2013, provides an interactive platform for players of all levels, both onstage and off, to experience various forms of theatrical comedy, from proven standards to offbeat styles.
The intimate 75 seat theater hosts stand-up comedians, improvisational artists, sketch shows, vaudevillian variety acts, comedic videos, live play readings, and humorous performers of all types. With a BYOB alcohol policy and even a working pinball machine in the lobby, the Arcade provides a unique, fun, and affordable addition to the Pittsburgh cultural district.
