LaMicro Theater's Summer Session 2018: La Cantante Calva en el McDonald's by Lluïsa Cunillé and dirigida por Tara Elliott.
En su estreno en EEUU, La Cantante Calva en el McDonalds cuenta la historia de un par de amantes secretos en un restaurante de comida rápida, atrapados entre un café y un té. Entonces ella entra, la cantante calva, cuyo nombre ellos no pueden recordar. Mientras dan vuelta hablando de arte y alcoholismo, se enredan en una maraña de desilución y desorientación.

Dirigida por Tara Elliott, La Cantante Calva en el McDonalds es una adaptación contemporánea de La Cantante Calva, ópera prima del dramaturgo franco-rumano Eugene Ionesco. La pieza mezcla humor, lo ab-surdo y mundano para luchar contra la omnipresente amenaza del terror, justo más allá de las paredes y/o el en-torno donde nos sentimos seguros. Protagonizan Alicia Cerón, Pietro González, Mario Mattei, Valentina Muhr y Paola Poucel.

Lluïsa Cunillé se formó en los talleres de Sanchis Sinisterra, uno de los más prestigiosos dramaturgos en Espa-ña. Cunillé ha obtenido varios reconocimientos, incluyendo el Premio Nacional de Cataluña.


On a rainy day at rush hour, a pair of secret lovers at a fast food restaurant gets caught between coffee and tea. And then she walks in, a bald soprano whose name they can't recall. As they talk in circles about art and alcoholism, they spin a web of delusion and disorientation. This contemporary adaptation of Eugene Ionesco's "The Bald Soprano" fuses humor, absurdity, and the mundane to battle the ever-present threat of terror, just beyond the walls of the place where we feel safe.
