Advanced JavaScript Weekend Intensive
Every significant web application today has major components written in JavaScript. Moving from jQuery and DOM manipulation to full scale application development has a steep learning curve. We're here to help.
Over the course of one evening and two days, you will learn skills and concepts foundational to building full stack JavaScript applications under the guidance of world class mentors. The focus of the weekend will be hands on, project-based learning designed to prepare you to work independently afterwards.
You will be best served if you have a base level of experience with the JavaScript language. At a minimum, this means fluency with:
Data types

Objects, properties & methods
Iterators
jQuery API for DOM manipulation

The core of the Advanced JavaScript weekend is understanding critical design patterns that enable largescale JavaScript applications.

What do I need to bring?
In addition to your own laptop with WiFi, we'll send you a list of suggested reading and tools you'll need to have configured on your machine prior to the start of the intensive.

Coffee, a light breakfast and catered lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday during each weekend. In addition, the HUB is located in the International District of Seattle which has a fantastic range of dining options.
Where are the events held?
The HUB Seattle, 220 2nd Ave South, Seattle, WA 98104. The HUB is in the triangle-shaped building in between the two forks of 2nd Ave S. Entrance on the West side.
Parking? Public transit?
Paid parking is available in various nearby lots for roughly $15 per day. The HUB is two blocks away from the Pioneer Square station in the bus tunnel and is close to numerous surface bus lines.
Can I transfer my registration?
You can transfer your ticket to another person by contacting info@forgejs.com and letting us know who the registration should be transferred to. Your email must match the one you bought the ticket with.
Can I cancel my registration?
Need to cancel your registration? Notify us in writing at info@forgejs.com within 15 days of the start of your workshop for a refund less a $100 fee. Cancellation less than 15 days before the start of the workshop is non-refundable. Confirmed attendees who do not attend or cancel within 15 days are not eligable for a refund. In the event the training is cancelled, the liability of ForgeJS is limited to the return of paid registration fees.
