The Spirit of A Woman Leadership Development Institute (S.O.W.) and the SANKOFA SISTERS co-host the "BLACK WOMEN & GIRLS TAKE FLIGHT" Celebration!
This fundraiser will bring together hundreds of our community members to celebrate the work and legacy of S.O.W. Rites of Passage Collective for girls of color as well as serve as a Send Off party for the Sankofa Sisters who will journey to Ghana.

ABOUT SPIRIT OF A WOMAN S.O.W. Leadership Institute's mission is to Educate, Elevate, and Effect Positive and Sustainable Transformation in the Lives of Young People of Color. We are raising money for our 10th Anniversary Celebration and Rites of Passage Culmination Ceremony to be held on April 27, 2013. Our theme is "GIRL ON FIRE: GIVING BIRTH TO LIGHT WITHIN"
ABOUT SANKOFA SISTERS The SANKOFA SISTERS are an intergenerational collective of black women and girls who seek healing, exploration, learning and community while positively impacting other women and girls of the diaspora. This grassroots, non-institutionally funded collective seeks community support for sustainability, accountability and growth and are raising money for our journey to Ghana, departing on March 23rd.
