2013 Victorian Festival
The 2013 Victorian Heritage Festival will take place on March 22 - 24, 2013. We look forward to presenting a diverse array of programs and presentations ranging from the elegance of Victorian ladies' wear to the rough and tumble waterfront trades of sailor, prize fighters, soldiers and seamstresses.
o Gardening guru Ann Lovejoy - "The Mother Theresa of Organic Gardening" speaks on gardening, food, and preventing your garden from being deer food
o Exhibition of Manly Arts - Witness the manly arts of pugilism and swordsmanship of the Victorian era
o Victorian Fashion - Experts explore the fashion of men and women's clothes that defined an era
The Victorian Heritage Festival celebrates Port Townsend's unique role as an exquisitely preserved historical seaport surviving and thriving as a modern city.
The goal of the weekend event, is to educate residents and visitors alike about the past and how it has informed our present. More importantly, it offers an opportunity to enjoy the extraordinary and wonderful city where we live and play.
