Tired of talking heads? So are we. Using their charismatic charm, manic delivery, and balls to the walls physicality, 2-MAN NO-SHOW creates a whimsical and fantastical world of heart-felt characters connecting in genuine and hilariously unexpected ways.
Nominated for a 2012 Canadian Comedy Award as Best Improv Troupe, and critically acclaimed internationally and across North America, 2-MAN NO-SHOW will astound and amaze!
Chicago's The Playground Theater's, Out of Character, focuses on well-written and performed solo character sketches, turning each piece into a fully-realized improvised show. The cast prepares for performance by writing an individual character piece as though he or she was the star of their own hit television series. The Out of Character cast as a whole then explores a different personality each week as the star performer is accompanied by the improvisation of supporting cast members.
From Timeout Chicago: "This joyous offering finds an impressive group of improvisers weaving together a single narrative based on a solo scene."
Out of Character is: Patrick Rowland, Conner O'Malley, Nicholas Mestad, Anthony Oberbeck, Wendy Mateo, Micah Sterenberg, Rob White, Dara Katz, Lisa Linke, Meaghan Strickland, Sarah Fineout, Sayjal Joshi, John Reynolds, and Jo Scott.
