Welcome to a totally unconventional approach to dance, theater, ensemble creation, original writing, and cross-cultural collaboration. Three separate companies create their own versions of 29 themes on human existence. Each theme is exactly one minute long. Each company makes exactly 29 themes. Each interpretation is totally unique. The kicker? The three interpretations are performed in an overlapping sequence (resembling a musical round) determined by Welsh rehearsal choreographer, Marc Rees. No one knows the order or what the other companies have created until two days before show-time.
Schreibstuck features performances created by Atlanta's Out Of Hand Theater, one of the hottest young companies in the country, Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA), the south's premier African-American youth theater company, and the critically acclaimed New York/Thai dance theater company, Witness Relocation.
