The Dirty Shame / Frank / Blanks & Blanks
The Dirty Shame is comprised of brothers Lee and Matt Barats who make full use of their chemistry as they combine sharp and often physical scenes to create a world that balances the grounded and absurd in smart ways. Their shows have been described as being "intelligently mischievous", and that sounds pretty cool.
The Dirty Shame has performed at iO Chicago, The Annoyance, and is a house team at Upstairs Gallery. Lee and Matt can also be found at The Playground Theater, Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, and have done gigs for The Second City.
Frank started performing with each other a decade ago and have a weekly show on Mondays in Chicago. Their approach to improv is mostly epic, filled with wacky, philosophical, recurring characters who are usually named Frank. Their inspiration to improvise comes from The Annoyance and IO in Chicago, and Zelda and Star Trek in television. Since many people mistake them for brothers, they often find it easy to switch and play each others characters during their show.
Frank is: Matthew Lang and Daniel Bloom.
Blanks & Blanks is Jodi Lennon and Casey Jost.
