SEX PARTY by NOAH FINN
When a whip-smart, agoraphobic online music critic, an economist dabbling in social liberalisms, an auctioneer, and a pianist engaging in pharmaceutical testing are thrown in the grinder of illicit drugs, categorized records, pop lexicons, gender assumptions and handmade vodka, a happening of uncommon pretense emerges. The by-product? Questions. What does nerve repackaging entail? What is a sexuality chart? How effective are synthetic hormones? What does the inside feel like?
Sex Party is a tour-de-force of subtlety, a desolate blackness dancing off-beat on the carnal merriment of big city characters in their big city lives.
As the second offering of its 2013 season The Overtime is proud to present Noah Finn's Sex Party. Directed by Edward Wise of Mise Media this show continues the Overtime's mission of presenting locally written shows to San Antonio audiences. And this one.well, it promises to be quite a presentation indeed
