I Do! I Do!
The 1966 Original Cast of "I Do! I Do!" featured two legendary Tony Award winners, Mary Martin and Robert Preston. Ojai is lucky to have its own Asunta Fleming and Scott White in the lead roles. They're being directed by musical comedy veteran Marty Babayco. Musical direction is by Jimmy Calire who will lead the orchestra.
Ojai theater goers will remember Scott and Asunta in their starring roles in "Kiss Me Kate" and both have worked opposite each other in numerous cabarets. Their list of musicals includes: (Asunta) The Wizard of Oz, Stop the World I Want to Get Off, Sweet Charity; and (Scott) 42nd Street, The Music Man and Guys and Dolls.
"I Do! I Do!" is a benefit for the Libbey Bowl Foundation and is produced by Ojai Performing Arts Theater Foundation.
