The Dialtones, a project spearheaded by Austin's acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Lauren Gurgiolo (guitarist for Okkervil River), will release their debut CD on May 2nd, 2013. To celebrate the release of the CD, Calculated Carelessness, a special multi-media installation based on the work will run from Thursday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at the Museum of Human Achievement in Austin, Texas. The interactive, multi-media installation accompanying Calculated Carelessness promises to immerse audiences in the eerie, dreamlike world of Kierkegaard's The Seducer's Diary; the text inspiring the work's sensorially dense moods and themes. Deluged in music, interactive sculpture and projection, this otherworldly event will envelop audiences in an experience created by Austin's brightest lights in the creative arts.
