Love Potion #10 - "The Musical"
LOVE POTION #10 tells the story of six days in 1964 at a small-town high school, through the eyes and ears of the popular local AM radio disc jockey. Michael Patrick "Records" Ryan spins the doo-wop, rockabilly and rock and roll gold on school nights, all the while receiving vials of "love potion" from a mysteri-ous female fan. The Saturday sock hop in the gym seems like a perfect time for them to meet face-to-face
Their arms-length courtship takes them through four decades, to the Northeast Southwestern High School Class of 1964 reunion dance. While "Records" Ryan pursues the never-forgotten girl of his dreams, The Whitesidewalls Rock 'n' Roll Revue touches all the bases on a trip through the great music of 1954 through 1964, the golden age of rock and roll!
Michael Patrick "Records" Ryan has been a presence in the Twin Cities rock and roll radio scene since 1965. He lives in St. Paul and hosts the Records Ryan radio show on WDGY AM.
The Whitesidewalls Rock 'n' Roll Revue is a musical institution in the upper Mid-west and has been for over 40 years. Their love for and mastery of the music of the 1950s and '60s is evident in their exuberant and dynamic stage show.
