Innocent is a transnational coming-of-age tale about a Hong Kong teenage boy who is tricked by his parents into immigrating to Toronto.
On the brink of puberty, he simultaneously struggles to adjust to his new environment, explore his developing sexuality, and understand the changing dynamics of his family members. This visually contemplative film spans continents, generations, and cultures by speaking to the increasing cosmopolitan global youth of today. - Serenity Joo
