2013 Autism Awareness Walk! 1 in 88 children are currently diagnosed on the autism spectrum - that means that most of us know someone with autism.
Join the Autism Spectrum Resource Center (ASRC), several other autism resources, and public figures such as the mayor herself, as we walk to raise awareness in the community for those on the autism spectrum and their families. Awareness is the cure - so bring out your family and walk to show the Coastal Bend that we support this population.
You can donate to ASRC even if you don't plan to walk - or if you want to support a team of walkers. ASRC has made great strides this past year and wants to continue to provide services, education and support to area families.
Although you do not have to pay to be included in the walk, participants paying the entry fee will have access to some additional benefits and a free Tshirt! Families are encouraged to form teams and get support from their friends and family. Children with high donation levels will be recognized on stage.
