Maine Acoustic Festival
In collaboration with Portland Ovations, 317 Main Community Music Center and North Yarmouth Academy, the Maine Acoustic Festival is a statewide student festival promoting traditional acoustic music styles that have shaped Maine's culture: Bluegrass, Old-Time American, Franco-Acadian, Irish, and Singer-Songwriter. Selected Middle School and High School students from around the state will spend two and half days rehearsing and participating in workshops and performances. The festival will feature nationally-known guest artists Tony Trischka, Darol Anger & Michael Daves for workshops and a Student Showcase Finale on Saturday April 6th, 4pm at Hannaford Hall, USM Portland, 88 Bedford Street, Portland, ME 04101.
