The Buddha - In His Own Words, New York
"Pick of the Week" The Boston Globe
"Masterfully crafted...A must-see" Mark Epstein, M.D. author of Open to Desire & Thoughts Without a Thinker
"Wonderfully entertaining...Marvelous to experience" Nick Dussault, Boston Metro,
The life of the Buddha in his own words - the evolution of his thought, his triumphs, and the rarely portrayed tragedy at the end of his life - all told from the authentic texts.
The man we know as the Buddha lived in Northern India 500 years before Christ and introduced the teaching known as Buddhism. His experiences and teachings were transmitted solely through the spoken word until approximately 300 years after his death when they were written down and carried and copied throughout Asia. This body of work is the taproot of the entire Buddhist tradition.
The Buddha - In His Own Words, an original one-man show, brings to the stage these authentic texts to enact the remarkable story of his life, start to finish.
