Grantwriting
Long gone are the days when a simple statement of your programs, the needs met, and a budget were sufficient to obtain grant funding. As with everything else, demand has outstripped supply, and only the most well developed grant proposals get funded. You want to be in that group, and this day-long seminar will help you get there.
Joyce Mork-O'Brien is recognized throughout the region for her grantwriting skill and her ability to help others acquire those skills. In this intensive session, participants will learn the principles of grantwriting, how to do the research, essential components of a standard foundation proposal, and "tips of the trade." This is a hands-on session, so bring information on your organization or program to the seminar.
This is an all-day seminar which will include a break for lunch, so bring your own or call us to order a box lunch.
Joyce Mork-O'Brien, Principal, North Star Grant Services, has worked with non-profits in Minnesota, New York City, and Washington State for over 40 years, and has been a professional grantwriter for the past 20 years. She has experience writing foundation and government funding proposals for educational, social services, and arts organizations, and teaches both beginning and advanced grantwriting throughout the region. She is past member of the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association Board of Directors where she served as President. She was also the Chair of the PSGA Advanced Training and Outreach committees.
