2013 REC Skills Assessment for Basic Training 2 - Feb 16
This one-time event is a skills assessment for female and male skaters ages 18+ who wish to enroll in the Gotham Girls Roller Derby Basic Training 2 class. [Note: Rec League 2 classes from 2012 have been renamed to Basic Training 2]
Skaters will be tested on basic skating skills, balance, safe falls, controlled stops and ability to skate in close proximity to others to determine their readiness to begin contact drills in Basic Training 2.
Skaters must provide all of their own skates and gear. Full protective gear, including knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads and helmet must be worn at all times.
All participants will be required to provide proof of ONE of the following types of insurance:
-Primary health insurance
-WFTDA insurance
-USARS insurance
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel this class with one week of notice in the case of insufficient interest. In the event of cancellation, skaters will be issued a refund.
