2013 REC League (Level 3): Monthly Class Pass - March
The Gotham Girls Recreational League is a continuous program that focuses on improving your skills in game scenarios. Rec league is structured to prepare skaters for GGRD tryouts, and to provide practice, scrimmage and game time for those skaters who enjoy the thrill of roller derby but cannot commit the time required to skate in the league. This program was called Rec League 3 in 2012. Sorry guys, women only are welcome at this class!
For 2013, the program will run on a monthly basis and include 6 sessions a month. The monthly pass now includes open scrimmages. Dates and times include:
- Practices: Sundays 10 am - 12 pm (*No practice March 31*)
- Open Scrimmages: 2x monthly Tuesdays or Fridays from 7-9pm (March dates TBD)
In order to sign up for this class, you must have previously taken a GGRD Rec League Level 3 class or qualify to take it during the Winter Skills Assessment on February 16 or 23, 2013.
You must have your own skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, and mouthguard. In addition, all participants will be required to provide proof of WFTDA insurance.
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel this class with one week of notice in the case of insufficient interest. In the event of cancellation, skaters will be issued a refund.
