6th Annual Boomtown Film & Music Festival
Thursday Feb 21, FREE pre-fest party at The Texas Rose with music by Space Capsule and complimentary grilled sausage thanks to Texjoy! So even if you're not up for the whole fest, come hang with us then, play some darts or pool or foosball, or drink some beers and dance your little heart out.
Friday Feb 22, the festival kicks off with film screenings at the Dishman Art Museum and elsewhere on Lamar campus. Not to mention, the 48 hour film race entries and award ceremony! That night, local and regional bands play at Tequila Rok (including Hello Chief, Native America, Driver Friendly, and others!)
Saturday the 23rd there will be more screenings on Lamar campus. Also at Gladys City Museum (a nice bike ride away), there will be hand selected local merchants, games for kids, lots of live music (including Greg Jr, Sun and Shadow, Yella Bellies, Barelands, and several more), even more films, and a mustache and hat contest open to all ladies and gents!
That evening, the after-party will be at Kampus Korner (just a hearty jaunt from there) with some of our favorite bands: Hithchhikers, Octopoodle, Too Heavy Boxes, Jenny and the Reincarnation, and the re-reunion of Sharks From Space!
