FLOWER POWER 1.0 is an instructional design workshop. The setting is Steve's Flower Market where fresh flowers are flown in daily. Classes will be taught by interior and floral designer Joseph Szymczak. Groups of up to 12 will learn the artistry of selecting and arranging fresh flowers in a fun and social atmosphere. Light refreshments will be served and the classes will last about 2 hours. Basic workshops will cover the fundamentals of choosing the right blooms and handling flowers to create hand-tied bouquets and simple vase arrangements. Price includes all basic supplies and flowers. Attendees will leave with two arrangements which they created and the recipes to re-create them on their own. Other workshops will be dealing with more advanced arranging skills including formal centerpieces and even weddings, seasonal, and special events. Class sizes are limited.
