Sun Morning Workshop: 10th Annual Hazel Wolf Environmental Film Festival
A two-part workshop with award-winning filmmakers John de Graaf (Affluenza, Buyer Be Fair) and Judith Helfand (co-director of Blue Vinyl and Everythings Cool).
John will provide an introduction to taking a documentary project from concept to completion (details to come).
Judith will discuss an experiment in teaching "environmental filmmaking" and visual story-telling to students (graduate and undergraduate) who are studying everythingconservation, environmental science, history of medicine, neurobiology, hindi and a little fine artbut film or video. Two of the students will join Judith to explain and explore the syllabus, teaching methodologies, and best practices for producing. See the results, shorts of 1-11 minutes on the theme, "Whats So Natural About Wisconsin?"
