Classes held at Logan Square's El Cid Restaurant, 2nd Floor
Saturday, April 13 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday, April 27 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday, May 11 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday, May 18 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday, June 1 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday, June 8 9:30am-12:30pm
This 3-hour course is required by Chicago Health Dept. for anyone selling prepared food in neighborhood festivals, farmer's markets, or any other temporary event. The class is required each year. There is no test.
NOTE: This is NOT the 2-day ServSafe Class required to work inside a food business.
$36 fee gets you certified with instructor Zina Murray, former operator of Logan Square Kitchen and former Logan Square Farmer's Market vendor. Zina's experience and demos make this the best Summer Sanitation Class by far.
Students receive their certificate 7-10 days after the class.
Our thanks go out to Jose and his team at El Cid for making his 2nd floor dining room available for our food community. You'll be able to order downstairs and be served in the classroom! Right across from Logan Square's Blue Line Stop. Parking is available a City lot across the street, and metered on street.
