Jon Lundbom & Big Five Chord LIVE Recording Session!!!

Hot Cup Records is proud to announce that Jon Lundbom & Big Five Chord are recording a live album! The live performance and recording will take place at Brooklyn Fire Proof (www.brooklynfireproof.com) in Bushwick, Brooklyn, on Tuesday 16 April; sets at 7:00 & 8:30PM.

Brooklyn Fire Proof has a fantastic Happy Hour from 5-7PM, after which Big Five Chord will play two COMPLETELY different sets, captured for posterity by Gabe Schwartz of Fireplace Studios (www.fireplacestudios.com). For this performance and recording, Big Five Chord will be performing several new compositions by Lundbom (and a few "rare classics") in addition to several new arrangements of Wiccan prayer songs. Lundbom (with Julia May Jonas) recently adapted Wiccan prayer music for Nellie Tinder's "Evelyn," which premiered at the Bushwick Starr in 2012 and was staged in concert for the 2013 Incubator Arts Projects' Other Forces festival at Richard Foreman's Ontological-Hysterical Theater. Now, Lundbom has arranged some of this haunting, beautiful, and slightly bizarre prayer music for Big Five Chord.

Tickets are $8 in advance (http://bigfivechord.brownpapertickets.com), $10 at the door, and every ticket comes with a FREE copy of the finished recording.
