Come celebrate the release of Mel Goodman's new book, FAILURE OF INTELLIGENCE: The Decline and Fall of the CIA, and the formation of Jason Leopold's new online publication, THE PUBLIC RECORD.  The evening includes an intimate dinner and discussion with the authors.

Mel Goodman is a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy and an adjunct professor of government at Johns Hopkins University.  He has more than forty years of experience in the CIA, the State Departments Bureau of Intelligence and Research, and the Department of Defense. He is the author of six books on national security, including "Bush League Diplomacy: How the Neoconservatives are Putting the World at Risk" (2004) and "The Phantom Defense: America's Pursuit of the Star Wars Illusion" (2001).

Jason Leopold is the author of the national bestseller, "News Junkie," a memoir. Visit www.newsjunkiebook.com for a preview. He is also a two-time winner of the Project Censored award, most recently, in 2007, for an investigative story related to Halliburton's work in Iran. He was recently named the recipient of the Military Religious Freedom Foundations Thomas Jefferson Award for a series of stories he wrote that exposed how soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan have been pressured to accept fundamentalist Christianity. The Public Record, his new nonprofit online publication, is expected to launch soon.

U.S. Tour of Duty promotes dialogue about civic issues by organizing public forums, developing media strategies and producing audio/video content.
