The Times Square History Tour, presented by Manhattan Walking Tour, offers an overview tour of Times Square that touches on the area's history, trivia, architecture and points of interest. With a maximum of 8 people on each tour, the Times Square History Tour prides itself on being small and intimate -- making it just like having a friend show you around the neighborhood.

Welcome to the Center of the Universe! Times Square got its name from the New York Times building (The Times Tower). Well, there's a behind-the-scenes story that will tell you how Times Square really obtained its name. How and why did the New Year's Eve ball drop tradition begin? There's only one way to find out.
