Mile High Freedom Band Presents: A Russian Winter
The Mile High Freedom Band is proud to announce its musical homage to the power and passion of Russia, "A Russian Winter" in the Studio Loft at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House on February 16.
Selections will include masterpieces from Shostakovich including Festive Overture and Jazz Suite no.2, as well as a concert band classic by Alfred Reed, Russian Christmas Music. And in the spirit of high drama, the band will also perform a medley from the Academy Award-nominated film Les Miserables.
This concert will mark the Mile High Freedom Band's debut performance at The Studio Loft at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, 909 14th Street in downtown Denver. Concert time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 for adults or $15 for children and are available through band members and at MHFB.org.
