Shakespeare on the Square

Arclight Repertory Theatre of San Jose in partnership with the San Jose Downtown Association presents "Shakespeare on the Square". This festival event will feature a production of Shakespeare's romantic comedy Twelfth Night set in ancient India at the Theatre on San Pedro Square. Prior to the performance, audiences will be treated to a host of strolling singers, jugglers and actors performing in various San Pedro Square restaurants. The event will culminate in a 30 minute "Green Show" performance of traditional Indian dance, music and love poems on San Pedro Street. Audiences will be invited to then see the full-production of Twelfth Night at the Theatre on San Pedro Square.
Note: Shakespeare's Romantic Comedy of Mistaken Identity & Bad Karma set in ancient India inagurates the first Annual San Jose "Shakespeare on the Square" Festival on San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose.
