ANCO partners with composer R. Michael Daugherty
At the beautiful and historic Church of the Epiphany in Washington, DC, please join us for a premiere of R. Michael Daugherty's Lux Perpetua, which won Ars Nova's composition competition. Concert at 4:30pm, with a pre-concert talk by Daugherty at 4pm. We also perform the Mozart G Major Flute Concerto (with our own soloist, the fabulous Gina Sebastian) and Hummel's "Military" Septet No. 2.
After the concert, we'll head across the street to celebrate (and to watch the big game). Hope to see you there!
Ars Nova is Washington, D.C.'s acclaimed self-conducted chamber orchestra, working collaboratively to present classical music at the highest level. You can see some clips from prior shows at http://www.youtube.com/user/ArsNovaWashington.
