To begin the 2013 Season, The California Shakespeare Company is proud to present one of Shakespeare's finest work, The Tragedy of King Lear. Starring Ron Rezac as King Lear.

King Lear is a tragedy by William Shakespeare. The play's action centers around an aging king who decides to divide up his kingdom between his three daughters (Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia) in order to avoid any conflict after his death. Meanwhile, an elderly nobleman named Gloucester also experiences family problems. His illegitimate son, Edmund, tricks him into believing that his legitimate son, Edgar, is trying to kill him. The story evolves following these destroyed families, ending with a kingdom torn apart under a cloud of sorrow and regret.
