Devising Civic Theatre: Performance & Dialogue

This two-day training offers participants an opportunity to explore the techniques & strategies Sojourn Theatre artistic director Michael Rohd uses in collaborative work with groups of young people and adults in a variety of settings to:

*devise performance material

*build partnerships with non-arts sector civic collaborators

*examine the potential of site-based and participatory activity

Tools to be shared include physical and text based improvisation and composition approaches, facilitation structures & methods for group-building in varied settings, including instance of civic dialogue around difficult issues.
