| Description |
The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival (WWCMF) is proud to celebrate its founding season with a debut Festival Series concert featuring the World Premiere of Forrest Pierce's "Lord of June: Dragonfly Music for String Trio," commissioned by WWCMF for this inauguration. Also on the program are Shostakovich's powerful 8th String Quartet Op. 110 and Brahms' Piano Quintet in f minor Op. 34. This will be a historic occasion and a must-see event in the cultural calendar of Walla Walla. The first event of its kind in the Walla Walla Valley, WWCMF will offer 26 musical events open to the public over 12 days between June 9 and 20 2008. The four-concert Festival Series is the highlight of the Festival.
