| Description |
Choreographer Ayako Kato (Art Union Humanscape) and collaborators present an installation with live music and dance performance inspired by Ten Nights of Dream, a novel written 100 years ago by Japanese author Soseki Natsume. This project is the culmination of Kato's Ten Nights Dream series, which has been developing since 2004. The series brings together rare interdisciplinary and international collaborations between U.S. and Japanese contemporary dance, music, and installation artists. The performance space is arranged in the sense of mandala, a Buddhist geometric figure representing the universe, and viewers are invited to the world of furyu, (literally wind flow) the beauty of being as it is. |
