Philanthrogeek Bay Area Happy Hour
Philanthrogeek.com (previously Adventures in New Giving) is scheduled to go live on January 15th!

On January 31st, we are hosting a happy hour for our Bay Area friends, including crowdfunders, giving circle organizers and participants and other philanthropy innovators.

Back in August, an amazing mix of over 30 people gathered at the HUB for the Bay Area New Giving mini-summit. It was a wonderful day of strategic discussions between a mix of social giving leaders coming together for the first time, and the conversation there had a lot to do with inspiring the transition from the Adventures in New Giving project to Philanthrogeek.

We hope to gather those same folks and hopefully many more for a serious agenda of celebration, community, adult beverages and actually... no agenda. Nathaniel might say a few words of thanks and what to expect from the new venture.

So, come on out to connect to local leaders in philanthropic and micro-funding innovation and learn a little about Philanthrogeek.

Shotwell's is a friendly neighborhood pub that serves a nice sangria and offers a pool table and a good jukebox.

PS: February 1st if Nathaniel James' birthday, so your presence on Jan 31st would be the best present you could give him.  Bring friends and colleagues.
