"Hope" One Man, One Show
"Hope" Written and preformed by Jerry Ford
Based on Jerry Ford's life growing up in Detroit, MI, the play depicts both the struggles and blessings he experienced. The audience watches Jerry as he faces life or death choices on the streets of Detroit, loses his brother, best friend, and his auntie; yet you also see how these horrifying events created a fire in his will to succeed through any darkness. "Hope" was written to reassure people that there is a light shining somewhere along every dark road. We just have to persist until we find it to become successful.
Jerry Ford is a Detroit, MI native residing in New York as a working Actor, writer & martial artist. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he recieved a BFA in Theater/TV. His one man show "Hope", based on his life, has been featured at a variety of colleges and universities, local theaters in Detroit and motivational retreats.
