Grand Reopening Concert at The Old Church, featuring Solid Brass

The Old Church will kick off the New Year with a new coat of interior paint. We are delighted to give this beautiful building a fresh face, so we decided the best way to celebrate was to have a party for the community! We will offer a free concert with Solid Brass, libations (cash bar for over 21) and the first peek at our rejuvenated interiors during our grand reopening on January 26, 2013. The reception begins at 7:00 PM and the concert at 8:00 PM.

Solid Brass, a 12 piece brass ensemble and Portland mainstay for over 30 years, will perform four centuries of music from Renaissance to Ragtime. Solid Brass was formed in 1982 as an out-growth of Portland Brass Society to provide a musical outlet for adult non-professional and semi-professional brass players. They have performed with Jonas Nordwall at First United Methodist Church, Portland Brass Society, and with former Oregon Symphony conductor James DePriest for his "all night concert" at the Civic Auditorium.
