The recipient will be able to register for the tour and date of their choice! There are instructions on the certificate for how to do that.

The date and will call option attached to the registration is just a place-holder. The gift certificate will be mailed out and does not expire.
You will be prompted to list the name/s of the recipient and gift giver/s, as well as the name and address where the certificate should be mailed to.
We mail (USPS First Class) a lovely, heavy, card stock certificate, however the system will only allow you to select will call - it's a placeholder, only. Mailings are done daily.
Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill/ Carrboro, Hillsborough, Greensboro and Winston-Salem food tours take place just about every Saturday, year 'round.
There are two pricing levels. The Afternoon Walking Tour certificate is good for a Saturday afternoon walking tour (or weekday afternoons, when available) at the current price, in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill/ Carrboro, Hillsborough, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. The Evening Walking Tour certificate is good for a Saturday 3:30-7:00 tour in cities where they are offered (currently Raleigh and Winston-Salem, only).
