The WiredArts Fest - Die: Roll To Proceed, Julia Weldon and White With Some Color
Mind The Art presents, DIE: Roll to Proceed, a choose your own adventure comedy.   Audience members are called upon to roll a die at crucial plot points; these die rolls then determine the course of the play that evening. The production features 240 possible outcomes.

The Saltwater Hotel is an epic bedtime story, an underwater dream, a musical hero's journey into the deep unknown to reclaim an original spark of inspirationand a fable about taking the long way home.

The choreography for Sleepdance's   "White with Some Color" was originally inspired by Stephanie Griffin's recording of her multi-tracked viola arrangement of Tony Prabowo's choral work Doa Persembunyian (A Prayer for Refuge) and Magritte's painting "The Lovers". For the WiredArts Fest, seven violists will perform the arrangement live and be integrated into the existing choreography of the piece.

Julia Weldon is a wide-eyed lover of life and prolific, NYC based folk-pop musician, guitarist, and songwriter. In her deeply personal percussive guitar-driven songs she plays with urban & rural memes. Intensely felt lines - from sardonic to heartfelt - weave stories of loss, regret, debauchery, incest, love & desire. It's the harsh city edges, the liminal open fields, the rough and soft sounds that make her music a pleasant paradox that draws immediate attention. Julia has opened for Melissa Ferrick and Bitch; headlines at reputable venues like the Knitting Factory, City Winery, Mercury Lounge, Webster Hall and plays nationally. Festivals include NYC's CMJ 2012, BoulderFest 2012, the 2010 Women's Experimental Music Festival in Brooklyn, and Chicago's 2008 Decibelle Festival.

Join our in-house audience!  Really it's not so different from any night at the theater- there will be a few camera's there- but they're small. And we encourage you to take pictures, tweet and facebook away!*

*some companies may ask you to put your technology away - but others will welcome all your gadgets with open arms.
