Jesus Christ Superstar is opening on Thursday, March 7, 2013 and tickets will be available to the general public in early February. Ensure yourself a seat and pre-order your tickets NOW! You have the convenience of prin-at-home or Will Call, both of which are free!
Show dates are March 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 2013. Thursdays at 7:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 4:00pm. General Admission seats are not reserved. VIP Seating and group discounts available by calling Sandy at 262-853-7628. Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance.
Synopsis:
It seems especially fitting that the first rock opera, created as a concept album at the end of the turbulent '60s, should have at its center a social and political rebel.
Jesus' meteor-like rise in renown provides, as the title suggests, a parallel to contemporary celebrity worship. As his radical teachings are evermore embraced, Judas increasingly questions the enlightened motives of this new prophet, resulting in betrayal.
Christ's final days are dramatized with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge and explosive theatricality.
