| Description |
Join Orlo and ReBar in energizing the Portland design community to challenge current ideas of public space and discuss issues concerning our built environment. With their nationally celebrated unique design solutions, ReBars innovative concepts are sure to inundate Portland media and future design discussions. This event will be a collaborative effort made possible by the support of community businesses and organizations like yours. Other sponsors include Ace hotel and PICA.
ReBar is internationally known for: + Park[ing] Day: transforming metered parking spots into temporary public parks. + COMMONspace: exploring privately owned public spaces. How public are they? + Panhandle Bandshell: a temporary public performance space constructed entirely out of recycled, repurposed and reclaimed materials. *Find ReBar in past issues of Dwell, The New York Times, Metropolis and Artforum (see www.rebargroup.org for more details)NOTE: No one under 21 years old will be admitted. |
