Dr. Sketchys has come to York!

WHAT? Dr. Sketchys is what happens when cabaret meets art school.
Since 2005, Dr Sketchys has been throwing events that let artists draw glamorous underground performers in a cheeky and charming atmosphere. Founded by Molly Crabapple, a former model and art school dropout, Dr. Sketchys has spread to over a hundred cities in the world, and held court in venues from Times Square to the Museum of Modern Art. And now, for the first time ever, York has a Dr. Sketchy's branch of its very own!
WHO: Our first model is Valeria Voxx - The Velvet Valkyrie!
This second generation sideshow vixen has performed in her native Baltimore at The Lyric Operahouse, The Windup Space, Ottobar (Where she competed to be the Queen of Crabs at the Baltimore Beauty Pageant), and Club Orpheus as well as in DC at the Bier Baron, Black Cat, and the celebrated Red Palace. Valeria started her burlesque career as an original member of Black Tassel Boolesque.
She has danced as one of the World Famous Cab Calloway Orchestra Fan Dancers, done multiple shows with Gilded Lily, Hot Night Productions, Twisted Knickers, The Baltimore Birdcage, DCs Valentine Candy Burlesque, The Carnivalesque Roadshow, Compound 50/50's production of Barbarellesque, and she is a part of the Baltimore branch of Dr. Sketchys.
HOW: Bring your own art supplies (nothing messy or smelly, please and thank you) and cash tips for the models. Seating is first come, first serve.
Boozy beverages are available a couple of quick steps from the back door at both the Cantina and Collusion, and we'll have coffee/tea on a pay-what-you-feel-like basis.
Doors open at 8pm, and admission is just $11!
