This Valentine's Day, treat yourself to a rowdy night of dance performances! Jody Oberfelder is hosting the "I HEART DANCE" PARTY at Santos Party House on Valentine's Day, 2013.
"Initially, we organized the party because we wanted to bring together the NYC dance community for a fun night of dance, a way to have a non-stressful Valentine's Day by just coming out and dancing. We also wanted to introduce to the public -- and help raise funds for -- our latest work-in-progress '4Chambers', which is a 'heart-themed' performance installation coming in Fall of 2013. When we heard about Eve Ensler's One Billion Rising day of awareness, we thought it would be great to join the cause by donating part of the proceeds from the event to benefit Sanctuary for Families -- the leading nonprofit in New York State dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence victims, sex trafficking victims, and their children.
