Winter Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop
Paul Kolling, founder of and owner of Nana Mae's Organics, will demonstrate how to properly prune and care for apple, pear, peach, plum, nectarine and several additional fruit tree varietals to ensure vigor and increase fruit yields during this informative and hands-on workshop.
The workshop will include a brief discussion about winter pruning and a question and answer session followed by a hands-on portion where participants will have the opportunity to put their new skills to work and prune fruit trees at Sonoma Garden Park.
The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience, and costs $10 for Sonoma Ecology Center members and $15 for non-members. Participants should bring gloves, pruners, and wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty.
All proceeds benefit Sonoma Garden Park, a working farm and model of sustainable agriculture, managed by Sonoma Ecology Center. Sonoma Garden Park was a gift from Pauline Bond, and is located at 19996 Seventh Street East, between MacArthur and Denmark Streets in Sonoma.
