You call yourself a writer? Come share your best 5-minute story!!

Put the finishing touches on that work of art you've been mulling over ... or just give us your most eloquent rant on the #$*%&^# state of things ... all literary-like.

Keep in mind ... there will be a winner. (Quality will be rewarded.)

Of course, you're also welcome to just come and listen.

STORY SLAM FAQ

What is a Story Slam?
An open-to-the-public writing contest where brave scribes bring their best 5-minute story, put their name in a hat, and hope to be called.

What if my Story is longer than 5 minutes?
File it under Distended and Unruly Drivel and spare us all. You will be played off, unceremoniously, at the 5 minute mark.

Do I have to perform my piece, or can I just keep my head down and mumble?
No comment.

Is there a winner?
3 literary agents will decide who delivers the MOST AMAZING story (ahem, see above). At the end of the night a winner will be announced!! Bragging rights will be claimed. No cash prizes.

What if I only want to listen?
Great. Come out and support our writers. You still have to buy a ticket.

How many writers will be called?
Probably 12. Maybe 10.

Will there be beer? Well, now that you mention it, yes. Not free.
