An Evening of Acoustic and Chicago Blues
For forty years The Blues Prophets have been Maine's premier Chicago-style blues band. Members include Doug Wainoris, guitar and vocals, DW Gill, harmonica and vocals, Jeff Davison, drums and vocals, Jack Tukey, bass guitar, and Jamie Isaacson, piano. The Prophets have had the honor to share the stage with Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, James Cotton, Otis Rush, and many other of Chicago's greatest. In 1979 the band played at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. They have one album, produced in 1979, that received international acclaim. www.bluesprophets.com

The Blues Prophets will be joined by The Old Blues Kats, a rockin' Blues Band including DW Gill on Harmonica and Vocals with Doug Wainoris on Guitar and Vocals. They featuring Delta, Ragtime, Louisiana, Zydeco, Cajun, Texas & Country Blues. Dave and Doug started their musical journey together back in 1970 with a local Waterville, Maine based blues band called The D&A Blues Band, amongst other titles. In 1977 the addition of piano filled out the classic blues quintet sound. All the while, travels to Chicago helped solidify and form the character of the sound they sought.

Americas longest musical tradition is live and well in the hands of these Old Blues Kats and everybody has as much fun as the duo does when they swing into your town.
