Holodomor- Red Earth. Hunger
Set in 1933, Holodomor is an original surrealist tale of terror, seduction, tragic absurdity, and redemption. At the height of the genocidal Terror Famine, brutally introduced by Stalin to collectivize Ukrainian farms, three starving strangers- a woman, her infant and an embittered man- meet at a lonely crossroad. An unlikely relationship grows. Holodomor derives from the word for hunger, "holod" and "mor" extermination.
