"Modernists in Crestwood" Salon
Join architect Cory Buckner for a special, intimate discussion of mid-century architecture, with an emphasis on the MHA modernist cooperative development in Brentwoods Crestwood Hills and the architects who designed houses there, including A. Quincy Jones, Frederic P. Lyman, and Richard Dorman. Ms. Buckner is the recipient of the Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award for her efforts in preserving important examples of Southern California Modernism. She is the author of several books including Crestwood Hills: The Chronicle of a Modern Utopia (Angel City Press, 2015),The Lyman House and the Work of Frederic P. Lyman (Crestwood Hills Press, 2017) and A. Quincy Jones (Phaidon Press, 2002). Her work has been represented in LA Architect, The Los Angeles Times, Dwell and Metropolitan Home.
Limited capacity (12). Salon attendees will receive a signed copy of one of Ms. Buckners books.
