Artist Workshop: Object as Tool
Spend an afternoon with Chris Collins, sculptor and found object artist, exploring the process of utilizing found materials in sculptural works. In this workshop, participants will be asked to bring or find an object or objects which will be utilized to create a plaster relief sculpture. This will include a short discussion of the found object in art and the artist's process, followed by an material foraging walk from which a small plaster casting will be made through pressing found objects into clay.
