2-time Grammy winner, NEA Jazz Master and Living Jazz Legend will present 2 Interactive Presentations at the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music, 1616 Franklin St., Oakland, CA., 7pm, April 7 & 8, 2008. Slide Hampton appears as part of the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music's National Treasure Series. Those in attendance will have the rare opportunity to listen to and learn about America's National Treasure from a National Treasure.  Both presentations will occur in the intimate Ed Kelly Recital Hall of the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music. Musicians, especially trombonists, should come prepared to not only listen, but to play as Mr. Hampton shares his insights and perspectives on Jazz performance.
