Seward Park Audubon Center is thrilled to welcome local author and Seattle Times reporter Lynda Mapes to the Royal Room. Lynda will discuss her latest book, Witness Tree, which chronicles the year she spent with one hundred-year-old oak in the Harvard Forest of Massachusetts. Through her partnership with ecologists and study of the seasons, Mapes is able to reveal how this tree has been impacted by our warming world.
This is part of Seward Park Audubon Center's Urban Naturalist Series connecting authors, artists and naturalists with the southeast Seattle community.
